Curriculum Focus: In line with our integrated topic of Australian History, Coal Creek offers a unique experiential learning environment. Set at the time of Federation, the village depicts how life would have been for the early settlers in the region. Situated on the site of the original Coal Creek Coal Mine, Coal Creek shows just how the ‘Black Gold’ of Gippsland influenced the area’s development.
Students will be participating in a specialised program called “It’s a child’s life! 1901 style” Going to School in 1901, Old Fashioned Craft, bush cooking and the general store.
This is part of the school curriculum and it is strongly encouraged that your child participates.

Due to the number of students we have, we are required to book two buses. However, there are several seats spare! We would love to have as many parents attend this excursion with us as possible as it is our only external excursion for the year. If you are interested in attending this excursion, please fill out the volunteers section in your reply and provide a copy of your valid Working with Children check to the front office. Places are limited so volunteers will be selected in order of reply.
Replies due no later than Friday 29th May 2015. No money will be accepted after this date.
