Being a student leader in the school is a position of responsibility and privilege. These positions subsequently need to be earned by the students.
There will be 18 leadership positions available in 2016. Each of these positions require the appointed leader to exhibit exemplary behaviour and follow the school’s 3R’s, showing Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
The positions that will be available in 2016 are:
2 X School Captains
2 X School Vice Captains
1 X House Captain per house
2 X Arts Leaders
2 X Science/Environment Leaders
2 X Welfare Leaders
2 X Curriculum Leaders
2 X ICT Leaders
Students that wish to be a school captain or vice school captain will be required to apply for the position. They will need to write a letter of expression of interest and hand it in by Friday 30th October. They will present a speech to their peers and teachers on ‘why they would make a good leader’ on Monday 16th November. After speeches the selection panel will shortlist the applicants and will be holding interviews for the positions on Thursday 19th November.
Students that wish to apply for any of the other leadership positions will also be required to write a letter of expression of interest and hand it in by Friday 30th October.
